presented an attempt of integrated study freedom of the press and social responsibility
journalism in various countries. It
reviewed conflicts between freedom of the press and other values in such areas
as private life, security, copyright, and censorship. Based on historical
approach its author proposed what should be effective policy toward freedom of
the press. Book presented in systematic form international models of press
freedom and its typical violations. The demonstration effective strategies that
will help journalists to protect their professional rights was
also included in it. With help of this book it is possible to deliver course of
lectures to students majoring in Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations,
Philology, International Relations, Law, etc.
